The basic regulations on the fees for the services of a lawyer are laid down in law, the RVG (Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz). The RVG contains numerous fee rules whereby, for example, a fee is designed as a framework fee or the amount of a fee is determined by the value of the matter in dispute. The RVG also provides that lawyer and client can conclude individual written fee agreements which better reflect the distinctive circumstances of the case in question and the work of the lawyer.

Our fees are based on the following criteria:

  • economic relevance of the matter to our client,
  • complexity and required research
  • time input.

In general, our services are charged by the hour. The hourly rate depends on the complexity of the legal issue and the respective lawyer working on the case. Currently, our hourly rates vary between EUR 180 and EUR 300 plus statutory VAT. We agree the hourly rate with our clients in advance.

Furthermore, where suited we also offer other fee types. These range from fixed fees to a modification of the statutory RVG fees.

Fixed fees are convenient for regular consultation (monthly fixed fee) and as a project fixed fee for single projects, for example, the drafting of a contract, the drawing-up of General Terms and Conditions or legal opinions.

A modification of the statutory RVG fee regulations makes sense for many court disputes. In general, a lawyer’s statutory fee for court proceedings is based on the value of the matter in dispute. Often the statutory fee scale does no justice to the amount of work a lawyer invests in a case, whereas the client rightly expects highly qualified work from his lawyer.
